Meet Beth.
Her smile will make you smile. Her joy will brighten your day.
I met Beth through Theater Arts and found her to be a charming, quiet, softspoken soul. I worked with her a couple of times and then she applied to be on my model team. And I can't express how happy I was when she did.
See, the Beths of the world are my favorites. Not only is she a creative (always my fave!!!), but she also came into the program as a little bit quiet and unassuming. I love getting to bring the quiet ones out of their shell, show them that they can do ANYTHING, and letting them grow into themselves in front of my lens.
I've watched her become more confident in herself and that always lifts me to the moon. I LOVE watching girl power happen in real time, right in front of my eyes.
The model program is fun, sure, but it's so much more than that. It lets these teens see what it's like to be able to do something that they may be uncomfortable with at first. It lets them be a part of a team that, on the surface is just about taking pictures, but in reality is a full on hype-man situation and builds them up even higher.
These are images from Beth's senior session and I think they show her personality perfectly. She's happy and fun, loves to perform, and has a bright, sparkly soul that just shines when she smiles.
I love these so much. And I loved working with and getting to know Beth through her senior year.
I can't wait to watch her continue to shine through college.
